Campaigns and follow-ups
How campaigns, follow-up steps, sending windows and personalisation work.
Updated
A campaign sends a sequence of emails to a list of people from your connected inboxes. Ask your AI to create one ("email these 40 leads a short intro, follow up twice"), or use the API. The Email page shows every campaign with its progress, replies and calendar, and lets you pause or resume it.
Steps
- Up to 10 steps: the first email plus up to 9 follow-ups.
- Each follow-up waits a number of days after the previous one (default 3) and can go out at a set local time, like 09:30.
- A follow-up with no subject is sent as a reply in the same thread.
- The first email can A/B test 2 or 3 subject lines; the winner is picked from replies.
Personalisation
Write {{firstName}}, {{company}} or any field you include for each person (up to 30 fields, named with letters, numbers and underscores). {{meetingLink}} adds your booking link.
When it sends
- Inside a sending window, if you set one: days and hours in a time zone, like "weekdays 9 to 5, New York time". Ask your AI to add it; without one, emails go out as soon as they're due.
- Spread across your inboxes, respecting each one's daily limit and gap between sends.
- People your account emailed in the last 90 days are skipped by default.
When it stops
Follow-ups to a person stop automatically when they reply, bounce, unsubscribe (every email has a one-click unsubscribe link) or book a meeting through your booking link. People on your do-not-contact list are never emailed.
Sending is included in every paid plan: each month you can send as many emails as your plan's monthly credits. The free trial includes 20 sends.
